On long, dreary, walks to school, Phillipa passed a garden that overflowed with roses. One day she packed a pair of scissors, imagining that it was her right to enjoy these beauties all to herself. Soon enough, she was caught: roses and scissors in hand. "You've been stealing my roses," said Mrs. Melon, scolding her over the fence. Phillipa felt very disappointed in herself. 25 years later, she wanders the neighbourhood, admiring the yards, with her camera, not scissors, in tow.

ON SUNDAYS I WRITE LETTERS+++++++++++++ May 1st - 31st. When photography was introduced to me over 20 years ago, I have been enamoured with her mysterious ways ever since. The title of my show refers to my need to record, tell stories, create memories. I have chosen a body of pictures dating from 1992 to the present. Mostly they are photographs I felt like printing and sharing. Almost all of them are film.
